Congratulations! Project farmers Rowena Gonnay and Jimmy Lingayo were panelists at the annual conference of the Deshpande Foundation's Centre for Social Entrepreneurship 27-29 January 2011 in Hubli, Karnataka, India. The conference theme was “Leveraging Opportunities”.

It’s official! Three varieties of heirloom rice from the Cordillera Mountains have been designated to the Slow Food Foundation's “Ark of Taste.”

Vicky Garcia, Executive Director of RICE, Inc., and five farmers from the Cordillera Heirloom Rice Project were delegates to the Terra Madre 2010 in Turin, Italy.

Robert Domoguen’s photo of Margarita Otgalon, a respected seed keeper in Ifugao, is included in the 2012 Fair Trade Calendar, a joint project of the Fair Trade Federation and Fair Trade Resource Network. 2012 Calendars are still available at the FTRN website
